Furman vs. Samford (DNP), SoCon Tournament First Round, March 4, 2011

The Paladins (21-9) jumped out to a 24-4 lead over the slow-motion Bulldogs (12-19) and made it stand up for a 61-48 victory behind 23 points from senior Jordan Miller. It was Furman's first Southern Conference tournament win since 2007 and the first time the Paladins have won 21 games in a season since the 1979-80 campaign. Furman weathered a second-half Samford run that cut the lead to nine points before securing the win.
